Welcome to The World of Wood.

Woodturning is the art of transforming raw wood into stunning household items that become timeless art pieces and sophisticated gifts for loved ones. There’s something magical about the process, as it carries the power to evoke healing and soothing emotions, helping to maintain balance and serenity in life. The act of shaping wood feels almost like walking through a tranquil forest, reconnecting with nature in every turn. To add to the experience, the earthy, rich scent of freshly turned wood is both invigorating and deeply comforting.

"MY PRODUCTION METHODS:

In creating each handmade bowl, vase, plate, cup, goblet, or tray, I start by carefully selecting the finest woods. The grain patterns and colorations must be perfect. The logs are then cut down into smaller pieces called blanks. Some blanks are set aside to fully cure, while others are worked in a “green” condition. When a blank is ready to be “turned,” it is rounded off using my band saw. On the bench lathe, each block is individually hand-turned into its basic shape. Precision tools are then used to refine it into its most artful form. Sanding is a meticulous and time-consuming process but essential to transform what was once growing on the side of a tree into a beautiful work of art. I apply and friction-burnish each piece with at least six coats of a high-quality, custom-mixed finish blend. Finally, the piece is removed from the lathe, and the bottom is carefully processed. Every piece undergoes thorough inspection to ensure the highest quality possible before it is considered complete. My soul is in every piece, and it shows"
